What is Lotilaner

Lotilaner is an isoxazoline compound that eradicates Demodex mites in patients with Demodex blepharitis.

Demodex blepharitis is a disease caused by overpopulation of Demodex mites in the eyelash follicles. It is characterized by eyelid margin inflammation, redness and ocular irritation.
TP-03 works by targeting and eradicating the Demodex mites by selectively inhibiting GABA-Cl channels.
Common adverse reactions include instillation site pain, burning and stinging.

Lotilaner is a new oral ectoparasiticide from the isoxazoline class developed for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs. It is formulated as pure S-enantiomer in flavoured chewable tablets (Credelio™). The pharmacokinetics of lotilaner were thoroughly determined after intravenous and oral administration and under different feeding regimens in dogs.
