Introduction of Ceftriaxone Sodium
Ceftriaxone is
used in bacterial meningitis[espcially in children],
multi-resistant typhoid fever, complicated UTI, abdominal
sepsis and septicemia. A single dose of 250 mgs I.M has proved
curative in gonorrhea including PPNG.
Ceftriaxone Sodium
Pharmacokinetics
Ceftriaxone is
a long acting third generation cephalosporin, with half life
of 8 hours. It has a good CSF penetration and eliminated
equally in urine and bile.
Storage Conditions for Ceftriaxone Sodium
Keep your Ceftriaxone Sodium in a clean, dry
place when you are not using Ceftriaxone Sodium,
and keep Ceftriaxone Sodium
out of reach of children.
